Third photo in my series on the World Naked Bike Ride. (Rather than a future Special Edition, I may make the WNBR a recurring category. We'll see.)
I call this one "Clean Cut." Wholesome. Scrubbed. Groomed. Intelligent. Upwardly mobile. If you overlook the fact that he's naked as a jay bird in the middle of the street, he looks like someone you take home to meet Mama. Maybe he represents the body-positive values the WNBR espouses. Maybe he is groomed because he is totally narcissistic. Maybe he's stupider than his image suggests.
It's just that if I imagine him in a shirt, it's white collar, not blue collar. Maybe he works for a free-wheeling dot-com. Maybe he only hopes one day to work there. I can't help but ponder the career strategy of stripping out of all your clothes and striding into the middle of an all-day public event that will be crawling with photographers.
